An Awesome Class

Me after getting my first brown belt
Monday was an awesome class for many reasons. First my sensei was really mad but he was taking it out on my brother, not me. So that was a good thing because he usually takes it out on me. The second reason is that he was so focased on the little kids making mistakes that he didn't care that me and my friend were talking the whole time. He did't even notice. It was pretty awesome. All we did for that class was get the little kids ready for a grading, so that's why my sensei was being so strict. He wants all of them to go and pass and they probably won't pass if he's not working them hard. I really had nothing to do with this because I have to go to Lloydminster for specificy brown belt only gradings. I don't like browmn belt gradings very much because there is a line of like forty black belts just starring at you. It's pretty scary! Well, that's basicly all that happened on Monday. It was pretty good.

Next Tournament

Wow. Once it gets closer to the end of the year there are a lot of tournaments coming up. As you know I just got back from Lloydminster from the Demura Cup. Now there is another tournament coming up on June 11. Its in Sherwood Park at Madonna School. Its a pretty small tournament because of how much space we have but people still come from Edmonton and St. Paul. Basiclly places close to here. I probably won't have many people in my division because there are hardly any brown belt girls my age that live in Sherwood Park or Edmonton. So it should be pretty easy, but I don't want to jinx anything.

Class after the tournament

My class after the tournament was really fun. My sensei told me to bring my trophies in and show them off to everyone. It was basicly a remember what you learned at the seminar and congradulate Briana class! Everyone told me that I did great. My sensei gave a big speech to all of the little kids telling them how hard I work and that I worked really hard to get where I'm at. It was a really fun class because everyone got to see my trophies. The only thing I didn't like was that I had to take a picture with my trophies in front of everyone and I don't like taking pictures in front of people. Other than that it was an awesome class!!

Back from Tournament

Oh my Goodness!!!!!! The tournament in Lloydminster was so much fun!!!! I went in four events. Compulsory kata which is where they pick the kata for you and whoever does it better wins. Free kata where you can do any kata on your choice. Weapons which is doing a kata with weapons, and sparring, which is fighting people. I won three HUGE trophys. I won second in weapons, second in compolsory and third in sparring. I am so happy and pround of myself. The tournament was acually really hard. There were some pretty good people there.

Upcoming Tournament

On Thursday May 19th I was at karate class training for the tournament that I am leaving for today. At that class I learned a new kata. I need to know this kata for the tournament. We also sparred with pool noodles. It was really fun. Today I am leaving for Lloydminster for the Demura cup Tournament. I am really nervous. I will update by blog post when I get back from Lloydminster.

Tournament

This weekend i am going to Lloydminster for a karate tournament. On Saturday there is a seminar and on Sunday there is the tournament. If I get the best all around score than I can win the Demura Cup. That is a trophy that people get if they have the best score out of everyone there. I am looking forward to going because this is my first time to even have a chance to get the Demura Cup.
